1. The product
Lumen Player is a media-playback application distributed free of charge under the GNU General Public License, version 3 (GPL-3.0). The full text of that licence is bundled with every release and available at gnu.org/licenses.
2. No warranty
The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We cannot guarantee that Lumen Player will work in every environment, with every file, or be free of bugs. The full disclaimer is in GPL-3.0 §§ 15–17.
3. Your data on your machine
Anything you play, edit, or store while using Lumen Player stays on your computer. We don't see it, can't access it, and aren't responsible for backing it up.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the software to violate the law in your jurisdiction. Specifically, Lumen does not include DRM circumvention tools and you may not modify it to do so.
5. Trademarks
“Lumen Player”, the logo, and the wordmark are trademarks of the project. You may use them to refer to the software (e.g. “I made this with Lumen Player”), but not to imply endorsement.
6. Changes
We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date will reflect that. Material changes will be highlighted in the release notes for the next desktop version.
