The short version
The Lumen Player desktop application collects nothing. No telemetry, no opt-in feature usage tracking, no crash reports unless you submit them manually.
This website (lumenplayer.net) uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are useful. That's the entire data collection surface.
What we collect on the website
- Page views, referrer, country (city-level), language, anonymised IP.
- UTM parameters when you arrive from a campaign link.
- Clicks on the “Download” button (so we can measure ad campaign effectiveness).
We do not collect: name, email, account details, behavioural profile for advertising, or cross-site tracking identifiers.
Cookies
One first-party cookie (_ga) is set after you accept the consent banner. It stores a random identifier so we can distinguish unique visitors. You can reject it at any time via the banner or your browser settings.
Legal basis (GDPR / CCPA)
EU/UK visitors: processing is based on your explicit consent (Art. 6(1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking “Reject” in the cookie banner.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. You have the right to know, delete, and opt-out — email privacy@lumenplayer.net.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then automatically deleted.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics 4 / Google Ads (US, governed by Google's privacy policy)
- Vercel hosting (US/EU edge, governed by Vercel's DPA)
